2) To find square of any 2-digited number—(10-99)--(follow steps & write the answer of each ):
ü Step-1: The unit’s place of given number is squared
ü Step-2: 2*digits
ü Step-3: The tens place of the number is squared
ü Step-4: Then the answer will be the SINGLE DIGITS of the individual answers of above steps written from right to left(step-3 step-2 step-1), added to the answer of the next step if CARRY is generated.
It will be clear from the below example, “If you remember “1” thing that the product obtained from each step should have (n-1) digits, if “n” represents the no of digits you have taken”.
Here, we consider 2-digited no, hence the product of each step should have “1” digit & the remaining digits are taken as carry.
v Example:
Ø 342 :
Step-1: 42=16
Consider 6 and 1 is the carry
Ans: ___6
Step-2: 2*(3*4) =24
(24+carry)=24+1=25,
Consider, 5 and 2 is the carry
Ans: __56
Step-3: 32=9
(9+carry)=9+2=11,
As the no. ends, place them as it is.
Ans: 1156
